Dark Victory Armory presents:<br>The Superior Viking/Medieval Steel Plate Buckle<br>This sturdy Historical Steel Plate Buckle is the very same premium historical hardware that we've used to make belts and accessories for hundreds of SCA and Ren-Faire participants over several decades. It is crafted of sturdy steel and has been given a blackened finish. It is astonishingly strong and will likely outlast whatever it is being used to close. We use it for making our load bearing shield carriage.<br>Measurements:<br>1<br>3/4" overall from tip to the end of the plate<br>1/4" wide for the buckle<br>It is best used with 3/4" width leather.<br>The plate can either be used on a single surface of the leather or it can be spread (recommended so that it clasps both sides). A solid rivet is the best way to fasten this to a strap or belt. You may also use a standard tubular leather rivet. This is an excellent quality closure; we are confident that it will exceed your expectations.<br>Buckle:<br>This is a robust historical black finish steel buckle with a pivoting plate for no bind mounting.
